In honor of TCU’s Sesquicentennial, the city of Fort Worth presented a proclamation to TCU at its city council meeting this week, proclaiming 2023 as TCU’s celebratory year and recognizing the institution’s long and intertwined history with the city.

“Whereas, TCU’s Sesquicentennial celebration, ‘LEAD ON: Celebrating 150 Years of TCU,’ is a moment to reaffirm and celebrate the shared spirit, values and impact that connects Horned Frogs to each other and to the city of Fort Worth …” reads part of the proclamation.

Chancellor Victor J. Boschini, Jr. also presented a pewter horned frog to city representatives.

“We wanted to bring a small gift from TCU to the city to commemorate a beautiful friendship and to kick off the next 150 years of partnership,” he said. “Our strong TCU community is made even richer by the incredible Fort Worth community.”

The chancellor was joined in the Fort Worth Council Chambers by other TCU leaders, several TCU students and, of course, SuperFrog.
