The Social Science Research Council (SSRC) recently welcomed TCU to the College and
University Fund for the Social Sciences, an 86-campus consortium of research-intensive
colleges and universities working together to advance innovation in delivering critically
important public goods and services.
“Joining the Social Science Research Council consortium provides TCU a powerful platform
to further its commitment to interdisciplinary research and community impact,” said
Floyd Wormley, interim provost, vice provost for research and dean of graduate studies.
“This partnership enables our faculty and students to collaborate on addressing critical
challenges while benefiting from new opportunities for funding and mentorship.”
TCU will join the College and University Fund consortium’s work to incubate new research
and implement partnerships with federal, state and local governments; to identify
and scale cost-effective research administration practices to support those partnerships;
to mobilize new funding sources for research-led public innovation; and to accelerate
the contributions of universities’ research investments to community economic development.
“Ƶ Christian University will be a fantastic resource for the College and University
Fund consortium because of its outstanding track record in developing impactful research
and implementation partnerships with public sector and community-based organizations,”
explained Anna Harvey, SSRC president.
