When you begin to plan upcoming classes and student activities, know that the Race & Reconciliation Initiative stands ready to support you in developing new opportunities to integrate RRI into the student experience. What might that look like?
- Host Guest Speakers: Expand the Dialogue. Invite a RRI guest speaker to facilitate dialogue about the power of narrative, memory, or discovery in how we are broadening our understanding of TCU’s history with slavery, racism, and the Confederacy. To make arrangements, email RRI@tcu.edu
- Engage in a Syllabus Review before finalizing your spring plans. See the attached "Syllabus + Review" tool, developed by the .
- Join us for a hands on workshop about integrating RRI into the student experience, featuring members of the RRI Task Force,on Feb 4, courtesy of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Provost’s Office.
- Attend Town Halls: Check out our Virtual Town Hall Meetings; held once a month, they are a great online resource to learn more about the Race & Reconciliation Initiative (RRI) deeds, discoveries, and developments.
- Put RRI Week (Feb 21-25) and Reconciliation Day (April 20) on your calendar: Chancellor Boschini reminds us that “everyone has a seat at the table.” Join us for a series of in person and virtual events. See the RRI website for details.
- Apply for an Inclusive Excellence research grant (up to $15,000) to pilot, research, and assess courses, curricular and co-curricular experiences that use evidence-based strategies to achieve equitable participation and success. To learn more, see the page.
